Over the last few years the world’s top vaporizer manufacturers have been squeezing as many technological innovations into their devices as possible in order to set themselves apart from the competition.
We spoke with Vape Elevate, a UK dry herb vaporizer store, to find out which vaporizers are head and shoulders ahead of the rest.
Davinci IQ
Davinci’s range of vaporizers have always provided impressive performances but they have never been the most aesthetically pleasing. With their latest model, the Davinci IQ, they have created a vaporizer that looks every bit as good as it performs and it is jam-packed with innovation too.
What sets the Davinci IQ apart from its competition.
Smart Paths – Connecting your Davinci IQ to your smartphone unlocks a plethora of features including Precise Temperature Control and Stealth Mode. However, the most impressive feature is the ability to create ‘Smart Paths’. Smart Paths allow users to choose the degree that the vape’s oven increase over the duration of a ten minute session. It adds a degree of personalisation to vaping that has never been seen before.
Replaceable batteries – Replaceable batteries may not sound technologically impressive but they really are a game changer. Like smartphones, vaporizer batteries are often the first component to die. If you’re unable to change an herb vape’s battery it means you have to go spend another couple of hundreds of pounds on a vape; this is far from ideal. The Davinci IQ batteries can be swapped out in seconds, this adds multiple years to the life of your dry herb vaporizer.
The Crafty
The Mighty by Storz and Bickel has a reputation of being the best dry herb vaporizer bar none. However, its critics complain about its sheer size. Storz & Bickel took the criticism on board and the result is The Crafty. This vaporizer shares several features with its bigger brother but is less than half the size!
What sets the Crafty apart from its competition
Hybrid Heating – Convection vs convection is an age old debate amongst die hard vapers. Advocates of convection argue that this method is the most efficient and maximises cannabinoid extraction. On the other hand, conduction ovens are enjoyed for their power. The Crafty is able to please both sets of fans by implementing Hybrid heating.
Air Cooling Unit – The temperature of the cloud you inhale, greatly affects the taste. The cooler the temperature, the better you’ll taste its flavour. This is the major advantage that herbal vaporizers have over cigarettes. Cigarette smoke burns at over 1000c whilst vaporizer ovens usually only reach a maximum of 200c. The Crafty is able to reduce this temperature even further by placing a cooling unit in between the oven and the mouthpiece. The result is some of the most flavorful vapour yet!
Firefly 2
Firefly build vaporizers for true connoisseurs. Their vaporizers are designed to hit hard and taste good and their latest model, the FIrefly 2 certainly does not disappoint.
On Demand Heating – A disadvantage of a typical dry herb vaporizer is that they can take a couple of minutes to warm up. That’s fine for a vaping session but not too useful when you’re on the go. The Firefly 2 addresses this problem with on-demand heating. The vaporizer automatically heats up as soon as you put your lips to the mouthpiece and only takes five seconds to reach maximum temperature.
True Convection Heating – Not many vaporizers comes close to the taste produced by the Firefly due to its patented Dynamic Convection Heating technology. This technology maximises extraction and all but guarantees zero risk of waste.
